Dr. Staci Sudenga is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Epidemiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She received her Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed a Post-doctoral fellowship in Molecular Epidemiology at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida.
Dr. Sudenga’s research focuses on infections and cancer, the natural history of infections, and the synergy between infections. Her goal as a molecular epidemiologist is to conduct research in clinical cohort studies in order to identify biomarkers that increase the risk for cancer that can be translated into primary prevention efforts, early diagnosis, or treatment.
