Dr. Malene Skorstengaard has been a medical doctor since 2013. She is specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is currently working at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Herlev Hospital, Denmark. Her PhD was conducted at Department of Public Health, Copenhagen University and her postdoctoral fellowship was conducted at Centre for Epidemiological Research, Nykøbing Falster Hospital.
Dr. Skorstengaard’s scientific interests include HPV-infection- and screening as well as HPV-caused cancers in men and women, cervical screening, and prevention and treatment of cervical dysplasia and cancer. A special interest has been to investigate the role of contraceptives on regression of cervical dysplasia. Latest her research activities have focused on HPV-screening of elderly women and evaluation of the existing cervical screening program.
