Mission

The IPVS Social Media Committee strengthens the Society’s visibility and engagement by engaging members, promoting activities, strengthening partnerships, and driving visibility and traffic across digital platforms. Its mission is to communicate IPVS activities, amplify key messages, and support growth in membership and community interaction.

Goals

  • Enhance IPVS brand awareness and authority across social media platforms

  • Strengthen communication and engagement with the global IPVS community

  • Attract new members and broaden geographic representation

  • Promote IPVS activities, events, and initiatives beyond conferences

  • Support collaborations with partners through coordinated digital outreach

  • Increase traffic to the IPVS website and digital resources

Activities

The Committee oversees a dynamic set of social media initiatives that highlight scientific advances, engage members and showcase the global IPVS community. Key activities of the Committee include selecting the “IPVS Paper of the Week”, featuring Country Ambassador Spotlights, and producing short video content highlighting members and the scientific program of the annual IPVS conference. Members meet regularly to plan content strategies, assess engagement metrics, and develop new campaigns that support visibility, outreach, and membership growth.

How to get involved?

Committee membership is term-based, and openings arise periodically.  When positions become available, a call for applications will be shared with all members.
