Testing positive for HPV in cervical screening: psychosocial and communication issues for patients and providers

Friday, 10th June 2022
9:00-10:00 EDT (New York) / 15:00-16:00 CEST (Geneva)

Topic:

HPV screening is changing the scope of screening from abnormal cells to a virus that is sexually transmitted. Reluctance from health professionals having to counsel about a sexually transmitted infection rather than a pre cancer may not adhere fully to the change.
Patients receiving a positive HPV test demonstrate a variety of psychological responses and the result may pose challenges for their relationships.

Join our panel of international speakers and be part of the discussion around how to educate health professionals and patients about this change in screening paradigm and how to adapt to abnormal results.
