Teresa M. (Tracy) Imburgia, PhD, MPH, is a postdoctoral fellow in Epidemiology at Indiana University and a Vera Bradley Foundation Scholar at the IU Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center. Her research focuses on HPV natural history, vaccination, cervical cancer prevention and screening, and HPV-related health behavior and implementation. Her current work uses longitudinal epidemiologic and molecular approaches to investigate recurrent high-risk HPV detection and viral latency, while complementary research examines HPV vaccination, health communication, cervical cancer screening, and strategies to improve screening uptake and follow-up. She is the PI of an NCI K99/R00 Pathway to Independence application and is developing an independent research program that integrates epidemiologic, molecular, behavioral, and implementation approaches to improve HPV-associated cancer prevention. Imburgia is also a member of the IPVS Social, Behavioral, and Implementation Sciences Scientific Interest Group and participates in the IPVS Mentorship Program.
